If you are looking for a really good love story, Cupido Es Un Murcielago is the perfect book. It was written by Glenda Larissa Tenorio Djurado and it revolves around the relationship of Fabiana and Juan. The story begins with how Fabiana, fresh out of college with a degree in Architecture, moves to San José to take on her first job. Her work takes her to the countryside where she meets Juan who gradually becomes an intimate friend. The first few chapters deal with how she and Juan meet and what life is like for both of them as they go about their separate ways. The first part of the book describes their feelings and actions as they look for love in what seems to be an uneventful environment. Then, something happens that changes everything between Fabián and Juan. The story starts taking off from there along with the character development of each one. As the story progresses, drama develops between Fabián and Juan that tears apart any feelings they may have had for each other previously. A reader would be able to follow the relationship through the ups and downs, twists and turns all leading towards a powerful climax. The story ends with an action that will change everything for both of them. This book has the name of Cupido En Exequias (Cupido in Funeral) in some countries. This happened because editors were not able to buy the rights for the book, so they had it aparted. Some countries or importers copied this title, however, others did not. The difference is that some parts of this book are different than others. If you read the whole book you'll know what I mean. The theme of love is quite important in this book even though it's more on friendship, at least at the beginning and end of the story. It's a great, emotional and very touching love story. The book is about a girl Fabiana who escapes from her dysfunctional family life to get away from the abusive boyfriend she was with. She finds herself in another city called San José and meets a guy named Juan. They don't know each other very well but there is something about him that attracts her to him and the spark between them soon grows.
